Some awesome photos but surely they would look so much better in 50's style kodachrome colour?

There are far too many 'period' photos in this thread using sepia when it just never would have been sepia. The goodwood 'colour' photo a couple back is a good example of early 'colour'

That's some bloody cool stuff!

By the way, how did you get the Flickr stuff under your photos? I've not been able to do that since it all changed a week or two ago.

Except with the bloke in his Adidas track suit bottoms and others in the usual drab jeans and trainers it doesn't have a period look to it.

And the driver of the Cobra is wearing a full-face helmet - not much in evidence in 1964/65.

Pedantry rules biggrin

I was going to overlook that because the Cobra picture is a nice one but the other just looks like a bunch of people looking at cars.

Thanks very much guys, glad you enjoyed them biggrin

Agreed that the moon dragster wasn't the best to pick for this thread, just picked one to show the colour processing.

Thanks, although I did the polishing and driving that day I can't lay claim to the photo! That was a professional from Classic Car when they were doing a feature on DB Astons a few years ago. Good fun day at Longcross Proving Ground where they did all the photography.

What a splendid set of photos and a lovely pair of cars. In my time I have owned both a Twin Cam and a CGT and loved them both. If they are yours you're a lucky chap. smile

Thanks! If they were mine I would indeed be lucky, but I'm afraid they're not. They were at the start of the Regency Run a few weeks ago parked away from all the other cars so I took the opportunity to take the photo while it was still quiet.
