Nice row of classics but going back to some of the earlier attempts on this thread and you'd have been called out for the street furniture, the modern advertising poster and the shady looking character in the bomber jacket! biggrin

It's a great pic though. Really captures the look of those old cartridge cameras everyone used back then. The ones they sold in Boots...

I did wonder about oil leaks funnily enough smile

And on the subject of leaky old things ...

There's one giveaway that I can see, but I still like this one from 4-5 years ago.

Photo taken late 2000s (2007 or 2008 iirc), merged with a scan from a blank photo album page from the 1930s.

PS location is friends' vintage (1928) garage nr Whitchurch, Shrops, which is currently on the market.

Almost period correct, however by 1972 pressed aluminium black and silver plates had virtually disappeared. Most cars had adopted the new style white and yellow plates with raised black plastic lettering or used the old style black plates but with raised silver or white plastic lettering.

I know I'm a bit slow replying to this, I can't change the plates or get a different picture, as I'm overseas. However, you did give me an idea.
