When I say 'my garden' it is on the boundry and as you can see the 'Pug' has become integrated in the stones and wood pile.
The Fiat was at a 'antique store' in Sourdeval, I was interested to see if anything was salvagable but alas no, it was nearly the same colour as mine....well nearly!

As per todays daily wail article, place in America. I'm sure there are a few amongst the masses in here that would be worth saving

Awaits "ermahgerd, I can just make out an uber-rare 1947.5 Cadvrolet Thingummajig second row from the top, in white, it's about 200 yards from the camera but I'm sure it's one of those, I can tell from the cap on the tyre valve" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2209853/Le...

Lowdrag will tell you straight away that it's a RAM replica - the rear fin is too horizontal. We've been through all this before.
The reason it's a Jag on the reg records is because it will be based on a Jag donor vehicle, hence the XK engine.(I would love to be wrong, by the way).
Correct, but it isn't just that. It looks to me to be a standard Jaguar engine and has three HD8 carburettors, just like an E-type, whereas real D-types has DCO3 40mm Webers. On second thoughts it looks like a 4.2 engine with the earlier polished 3.8 cam covers since the induction rail is from a 4.2 litre engine. The whole layout is wrong for a real one, with no battery where it should be, 15" wheels with radials,no rivetting on the scuttle where the screen surround is attached meaning it is certainly fibreglass. What look like rivets in the first photo are actually fibreglass moulded into the shell when it is cast. The reason it's a Jag on the reg records is because it will be based on a Jag donor vehicle, hence the XK engine.(I would love to be wrong, by the way).
Whatever, it should be saved since there are buyers out there who will finish it off and get it on the road.

Haha, I thought exactly the same!
It was the Pontiac Le Mans - though why anyone would wish to drive one for 24 hours is beyond me.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_LeMans
From the ridiculous to the err.. ridiculous.

Pontiac LeMans, made by Daewoo.
aka Daewoo Nexia. Oooh look Ethel, free servicing for 6 years, and a hoooooge warranty. All that with a brand-new car. What could possibly go wrong?Daewoo launched in the UK in April 1995 and the target was for 1% of the UK market by 2000, they had 5% by the end of the first year.
The Korean economy went tits up though in 97, they soldiered on for a while, but GM took control again and promptly pulled the rug on the wholly owned UK distribution network of factory shops, and franchised it all. Then re-branded as Chevrolet, and it was all over
