The Mark 1 had the last vestiges of the Vauxhall bonnet flutes ... or was that the Victor ? .. can't remember
Was that not the Velox version?

3 window car, pretty rare.
with the indicators in the fins
Straight edge to the front of the bonnet and wider chrome trim along the flank.

I had a later PA with 3.3 Ventora motor in pink and white when I was 18.

although the car's been stood for years, it doesn't look as though it's been stood there for that long. Looks very out of place in an otherwise very nice and well kept house.

First car I crashed was my mums Ami, aged four. Handbrake on dashboard, a hill with a Vauxhall Cresta at the bottom.

Is this a vehicle which is possible to save?
I'm guessing its scrap or breaking for parts at best.

I remember Adam Faith pulled up in one of these (salmon pink) and asked the way to a local theatre (early sixties)
There was a pink one in an almost identical state to the one in the pic parked up outside someone's house in Skewen (South Wales) for years, although it disappeared sometime in the last 12 months. They'd have made a fine pair of bookends..!!

Forgive my ignorance, but why is it called a three window car?

I'm also interested in the panoramic windscreen. Taking the easy way out (rather than doing my own research), can I ask PHers what other Vauxhalls had these 'screens?

The rear screen was made up of three separate sections of glass, rather than the single one of the later cars.

The only other Vauxhall that had a similar wrap round front screen was the first Victor.

I wonder what's in the garage...
An old washing machine that: "I reckon I can fix that!"
A sofa that's: "Too good to just throw away!"
Boxes that should have gone in the attic but: "I'll put them in the garage for now!" wink
A home gym that: "Honestly love, I'll use it again one day so there's no point getting rid of it!"
Boxes of spare parts for a car that: "In all honesty, I can't remember what car they're for!"
Patio furniture that: "Yes Love, but this year will be different and we'll get to use it all!"
An old barbecue that: "We'll be able to use in the summer with the patio furniture!"
Stuff bought at a car boot sale that's: "Not junk! - it was a bargain!" rolleyes
And a range of DIY tools for all those projects that: "I'll get round to doing one day Love! - Trust Me!" smile

That would be My guess! biggrin

Believe me they weren't that good to drive ... the steering wheel was connected to the front wheels with rubber bands ... it was like driving a boat in moderate seas !!!
