Yes I drove one at the time they were new, the 3 litre V6 twin turbo was extremely quick.
That's the Z32, a far, far better car than the Z31 above.
It was definitely a Z31 I was referring to, it was quick for the day although it may have been single turbo not twin. The one in the pic says 'Turbo' on the back. I had a new Z32 myself in 1992, it was forever having electronic niggles requiring visits to the dealer to plug into their computer to sort out and fix.

The MG is a V8, and there's a Merc W140 S Class behind it.

Spotted this a few minutes ago, whilst not left to die as it was on a trailer, its definitely rotting....

I saw something similar to that yesterday, somewhere in the southeast.

Maybe it was " tow your scrap MGBGT day"
Maybe they were out to prove the 55mph lot wrong.... laugh

anyone ever driven one?
Owned 2 of these, one pre and one post face lift. Both were manual cars and were not too bad apart from the need to wear a medallion, smile Also had the 280 before those. Now into Corvettes but still hanker for an old Mk III Zodiac with floor change manual and separate front seats, but oh so rare.
Z31 Turbos are manual only anyway smile
In their day most of the non turbos(which easily outsold the Turbo -even though with heavy discounts you get a new Turbo at non turbo prices) seem to be driven by mature blonde women in their late 50s
This one has painted alloys and door mirrors- they should be black
Rarer and more interesting than a mk3 Supra Turbo -but nowhere as quick.

Presumably the chain is to trick someone into thinking it's worth nicking. wink

That's not a Viva, it's an FE Victor, likely a VX4/90.

Nope, definitely not VX490 or Ventora, as previously mentioned, "look at the wheel arch profile"

Can someone identify the model of this car?
The coconut tree will tell you that this yard is in the Caribbean, Jamaica to be precise.

At a guess, an early fifties Armstrong Siddeley Whitley.
