Found this today. Appears to be the back end of a 90's looking Le Mans type jag, said v12 on the back, sorry for the poor photo, the floor pan appears to be resting above the rear panel.

As we know, he was a dodgy used car dealer, so it was probably a ringer that he couldn't sell on!
Terry also had a go in a quattro in one episode. Good 'ole Suzi...

That's the one, next to v12 is says xjr9, I will go up there when I'm next delivering in the area and make my enquiries! If it's a real rear lid it deserves better treatment than that!

should probably blur address maybe? I know its only a knackered supra but if someone posted a picture of my car on drive with my address. I would be losing sleep waiting for p----'s to roll up and take it.
Maybe you should take it out of your post then?

All rather far fetched isn't it, that some "go as you likies" are trawling Pitsonheads looking for a rusty jap car to tow away, surely they'd have seen it with their own eyes if they wanted it? confused

I don't think it is too far fetched, scummers are in fact present on the internet. Just look at Gumtree.

People are perfectly capable of going to a different area to steal something if they want it enough. All those stories of 'stolen to order' MK.1 escorts weren't spur of the moment, were they? There's nothing to lose from removing the address.

Terry McCann's pre-facelift MK1 Ford Capri, on an R plate redcard

Oh come on, everybody knows that the last of the pre-facelift MK1's were registered on an L plate biggrin

Maybe the programme makers are smarter than you think. In order to give more depth to the character of Terry and make him a more three-dimentional, believable character they have intentionally put him in to a late, pre-facelift Mk1 that a dealer has sat out the back, unregistered because he couldn't sell it, then finally sold 4 years later and hence registered on an R plate...

But probably just a number plate the production company had knocking about.
The car was supplied by Arthur Daley in the programme.

As we know, he was a dodgy used car dealer, so it was probably a ringer that he couldn't sell on!
SLE 71R was actually seen on a white mk2 at the start credits of Minder. Last i heard of the mk2 sporting that registration was John Hill of the Capri Club International had it.

Incidently, there is a old Mondeo estate kicking around Milton Keynes with R71 SLE as it's plate and it always makes me think of the Minder Capri when i see it.

Among the BL cars seen in the show were...

Rover P6 2000 Auto (brown, 1970 car) driven by both Bodie and Doyle in a couple of episodes
Rover 3500 SD1 (Turmeric Yellow) appeared as Cowley's car in several episodes. Reputed to have also been Steed's car in 'The New Avengers', also seen in early episodes of 'The Return of The Saint'.
Triumph TR7 (Pageant Blue) seen in two episodes, driven by Doyle
Triumph Dolomite Sprint (White) seen in at least 4 episodes, both Bodie and Doyle at the wheel

Then came at least SEVEN Capris, FOUR Granadas, and the RS2000, making various appearances in seasons 2 to 5.
Someone has watched thru his BoxSet then...

I can remember years ago there used to be a Covin 911 turbo with that sort of body kicking around Swansea... looked very strange with those huge wheel arches and the standard steel, beetle wheels!
