Are they no good? I don't know what the E-Numbers all mean.
They're fine: I think by runt he means because it's cabriolet, rather than a coupe or a saloon.

IMO the e36 cab and coupe were the last nicely styled BMWs, very crisp and well proportioned.

Probably - cabriolet/convertible - you say toemaitoe, I say toemartoe - unless it's a fake, but the colour & spec look right.

It is a 3.2 so I think that means it has to be an M3, tax expired at end of June 2008, MOT 29 May 2008.

Technically you could fit a 3.2L to any E36 (with enough additional parts), but I'd say it's a genuine M3 Evolution convertible in Dakar yellow.

If it isn't mechanically fubared then there is a a chance that the owner is away "Shooting tigers!".

As for the number plate, the truly rare M3's were the ones that never had "M3 ***" plates put on them!

And on the subject of sad TVRs, here's one from 2011 that was still parked-up very recently:

Correct.

Allegedly the car was subject to a dispute regarding the bill for smg gearbox repairs, most parts of which remain but unfortunately on the seats and interior trim which have suffered as a result. The car may look like a worthwhile project but would need a shedload £ throwing at it.......yes
