Ten minutes ago I'd never heard of 'Strood'. If pushed, I might have guessed it a Scottish location. Now it looks like one of the most interesting places in all England.
No, no, no, no, no.Nay, Nay and Thrice Nay.
And any other similar epithet you can think of. Strood is many things, and clearly it does heave a heap of old cars and a Soviet sub, but interesting it ain't!

Slightly off topic, but also located in Strood is this Soviet era 'Black widow' submarine... It has been sitting in the River Medway for years.
Not sure what the story is with it but it has been there for as long as I can remember. Quite an eerie sight when you consider what it was originally built for.

Not a "Black widow" submarine just a "Foxtrot" named as that by it's private owners.
Been there since 2004 and awaiting restoration according to wikipedia.

No. Horrible things that sound like a broken flymo. Each to their own & all but I can't see the attraction at all in owning one.
I have to say I agree, having once had the misfortune to have to drive one. Ghastly to drive. Makes a 2CV seem like a sublime work of art (which it is of course). I also drove one of the Beetle-based Speedster replicas, and that was just as bad, or worse.quote=Loose_Cannon]

Not sure if it counts as 'left to die & rotting' but certainly this Lambo(?) isn't feeling much love!
Seemingly someone has been paying rent to keep it in this storage yard for a few years now but being told to get it moved by the landowner.. May be for sale, who knows!
That's all I know but if anyone is interested I could get a message perhaps.
Edit: Apologies if this belongs to anyone on here!
Haven't spotted a reply to this so; it's a kit car called a "Panache" built by Paul Lawrenson who IIRC almost immediately went on to make "proper" Countach reps. This one was more "inspired by" as it had the nose attributes of the Japanese DOME P2 concept car melded to a definite Countach back end. Only ever seen one more for sale (red) so assume single figure production. Given this one is lemon yellow it may even be the prototype;Seemingly someone has been paying rent to keep it in this storage yard for a few years now but being told to get it moved by the landowner.. This lot has been left to rot on a farm near where i live.
Behind the scrap Rolls-Royce Avon's is an old Renault Laguna.
Better view of the Renault and there's some old Hunter cockpit under the tarp
A Meteor cockpit
Oh and a lightning in the field
And behind that is a Vulcan cockpit
All normal things you'd find in a field!!Behind the scrap Rolls-Royce Avon's is an old Renault Laguna.
