I don't know much other than its a Bedford.
Straight six petrol engine.
Maybe a horse box based on its rural location.
Looks like a good project from this view

Interior doesn't look too bad

Oh bugger

Its not quite as bad as it looks from this side. The body (wooden frame) has collapsed but the chassis just about survives.
If anyone can fill in a bit more info on it I would be interested to know :-)

Its very sad that it survived from 1935 to 1993 and was then left to rot.

I really hope that it is saved.

That's a rarity, a year one 944.

If that 944 has been there 11 years I must have driven past it loads of times but never realised

it's abandoned.

It's tucked into a corner slightly out of the way but visible from a main road.

I've seen that and posted a pic in the distant past as that's down the road from my sister's house.

I think we've got a few spots in common. You said you'd seen the maroon convertible Beetle in Selsdon (no longer there) that I posted ages ago, and I think you posted a photo of a garden full of '80s B.M.W.s that's a few roads away from me.

Yes indeed.

I drive a lorry out of Croydon so get to see over hedges and get to see a different angle than some.

I also have at least 3 new rotting spots to go back and take pics of,another 944,an XJS and a XJ40.

Given the silly money they have been changing hands for 'converted' to Mexico or RS2000 guise it's probably worth about £20,000 now!!!!!

Not so much interest in a 4 door for an RS replica.

Very true, but I would not put it past a chancer to try to pass it off as a 'one off/rare/development' RS 4 door at an even higher premium!!!

Some Discoveries are offered with an implied link to the SAS because the chassis plate reveals the car was built by Land Rover Special Vehicles. It actually means it started life as a Discovery van.
