That Corsair looks very solid, unusual as they rotted like hell even when fairly new.

It's a fairly early Mondial.
A nice one is around £20-£25k and possibly rising a little, so that one is probably not worth saving... yet.

There used to be a website dedicated to abandoned Superbirds. There were a surprising number of them.

This isn't the one I was thinking of but look see...

Wow! With the money they make that's surprising.

I know right!

Years ago I really wanted one and ridiculously considered buying a wreck to fix up, but even for something like these, the prices back then were astronomical and I found parts were either very rare, very expensive or very both...

...Probably why so many of them are abandoned as maintaining them is so prohibitive.

The front garden could do with a tidy up?

A lot of those pics on the Cars in Barns website are very old - a lot of them have been moved/restored/sold by now I'm sure - mind you, a lot haven't I'll wager!

Spotted these the other day meant to go back and get a proper photo but afraid this will have to do for now.

Me, new to the forum.... but I'm horrified. Someone is just leaving a 250 SWB Cali GT to rot in a garage? Even Ferris Buller (who didn't seem to give much of a monkey's) would turn in his grave. The RSPCA an PSDA take care of neglected animals. Please can someone finance me so I can take care of neglected cars?

That is a consolidation of piccies from loads of other sites! A lot of the cars on that thread were saved or were kit cars - some of them had really interesting stories behind their abandonment and subsequent restoration.

I realise that, it just this thread is for spotted and not really 'classics found on another website' re the Superbird reference I quoted.
