A|s I recall the straight six Triumph was essentially a Herald engine with 2 more cylinders. Over the years they just kept on stretching it!
DGH
For the pedants the Triumph 6 was a Standard 8 engine with 2 more cylinders, designed in the early 1950's and bored, stroked and 'cylindered' from a 803cc inline 4 right up to a 2498cc inline 6.

Don't let Kitschski see the BX! Someone cover it up.
A pity about the Humber. An impressive car, and probably very few of them left.

There was a door in there too, probably for the Humber but I didn't want to spend too long inside, the state of repair of many parts of the building made me wonder how safe that area was!

Interesting to know what happened to the Marcos, someone must know I suppose as they were probably sold.

The bane of many a petrol pump attendant's life; me included. The filler cap was the offside reflector.

Concealed filler caps were all the rage at the time.

I don't think so eek - I might have noticed when taking the photo if it was, spotting a walrus in Doncaster is rare so it would have stood out! I can see the resemblance there though.

Don't have a pic, but guess others will have seen it, but in one of the big houses on the A2 across Blackheath, London there is what I took to be a mk2 Jag rusting away out in the open with an XJR next to it. It is on street view but with a cover over it.

Took these pics round the back of a long abandoned building

Don't know if any of them are rare or interesting

The jag with the spoiler looks interesting but I know very little of old jags

The below is in the same garden as the humber and the blue one however this one hasn't had any shelter for many many years, as you can tell

I stopped to have a look this morning, the Marcos (whatever the plural is) have gone, not sure where the Jags etc. were as I didn't see that area so maybe a separate bit of land which is apparently for sale with the building if a buyer wants. All that is left is the Humber:

And a Citroen BX at the front:

The house could be fantastic but the amount of work needed is pretty daunting!
Sorry mate, my post is badly worded, the Jags are at another abandoned property in Rawtenstall

Hi
hope this hasn't been posted before but its the only car left on the site of a car dealer that went bust a couple of years ago. Everything of value got flogged, but this got left.

What is it? I suspect it is 70's Datsun but it hasn't got enough rust to be one of those.

I found this round the corner from our place, never spotted it before, lurking in a hedge. It's obviously been there some time!

Will have a closer look in the next day or so just in case its a Pullman or something valuble, dont think it is though.

A bit of research & it appears to 67 ish vintage

looks more like a Merc 'Ponton' W120/121 - only made up to 1962

I thought that was a 'D' suffix, 1966, but it can't be, must be a pre-age-related number

there again, I may be talking bks, it might well be a 1966, the fintail w110

Definitely a W110 and mid 60's facelift with the indicators under the headlights. It's a 60's E class of which they made many hundreds of thousands but one in top nick could still fetch £20k. If it's not completely rotten, it could be worth digging out....

Brian Leighton in Howden. It was covered over and some scumbags broke into the compound and got the cover off, no doubt thinking it a mark 11 Escort they could steal.

It's a late seventies Colt.
