A couple of spots near me.

Second is a lovely old Benz, not sure which model exactly, didn't look too bad, light covering of moss and leaves and rubbish leant against it, hopefully just waiting a bit of love and attention.
Beautiful early 70's W115 Coupe (prob a 250) - pre facelift hence the smooth not ribbed tail light lenses. Worth £10k + in good nick but it may be rusted to buggery by now. Sadly, whilst looking for an image, it looks like a lot of them have probably met an ignominious end "slammed" to the ground on stupid massive wire wheels.

Always loved those.

I had a late (1975) 280CE. Nice motor yes but at 10 years old it was already rusted to buggery underneath and full of filler. But then Mercs were often rustbuckets weren't they? A year or two ago I looked at a couple of 230CLKs from the late 1990s that were absolute dogs.

I think the 70s was a bad time for rust in general - I had a BMW 316 (E21), about 8 year old when I had it and it was the rustiest car I've ever owned. My Mercedes C124 is rock solid at 25 years old.

The days of really bad structural rust problems seem to a thing of the passed thankfully.

Not to sure about that where mercedes are considered unfortunately look closely at any 7 or 8 year old merc and they appear to be rustier than any modern car should be. I saw one the other day the bottom of the boot lid was completely rotted out. Thought we left that behind in the 70's and 80's

I have quite a few detailed pic's of all these cars, parked in the very corner of a disused farm in rural France about 400yards from my parents house. (South West Nr St Savin). About 10 cars in total, 3 being 2CV Vans and an old Renault 8.

We were going to take some tools down there and cut back all the brush, but never got around to it. Maybe next year smile

Citroen Traction Avant? (there are 2 or 3 of these)

In Westcott on the A25 I saw a garage for the Humer Unbeam thread but had to drive around a bit to find somewhere to park. And then I saw this.

The lads in the garage said it was featured in Hoarders on Channel 4.

First on is where old BMW's go to die, loads of E28s, E12s, E23s, E32s etc.. (image is from google as I couldn't stop to take a photo)
If those BMWs are were I think they are (a few miles off a junction of the M4 near Reading). Then they are mostly parts cars and a couple of projects. I have met the guy who owns them and bought bits off him. He loves his BMWs not sure what his neighbours think!

Every time I see that MR2 I have wondered if it would be worth seeing if it was savable and if the owner would sell it, as from a distance at least, it doesn't look that bad (how many cars don't look that bad from a distance though and are complete rot-boxes up close!)

I thought it might have been sold the other week, as I was stopped at the traffic lights next to it and there was a youngish lad and a bloke by it, who looked like they were sorting out a sale for it as there was paperwork being exchanged and a handshake going on at the time (I was caught watching them but it was a bit hard to be discreet waiting at the lights in a bright red Ferrari with the roof off! - Definitely not the best car for a Private Investigator Magnum P.I!)

As it was still there the other day I assume it wasn't the MR2 being sold (or there's a delay/the sale hasn't gone through).

The series 2 MR2 is one of the cars that I have wondered about owning (with the 348 sitting in the garage though, I do wonder if it would seem to be a bit "same - same" to a degree. The comparison between the cars would be interesting though! [Hmmm..... now that's got Me thinking again! scratchchin ] )

Yeah, the guy in Westcott is a chronic hoarder, really can't help himself. I don't know him personally but I know a guy who does.

Any further details on location? My Dad's been looking for a Daimler Majestic for years.

These three have been here for years. BMW E34, E30 and a Land Rover 101 Forward Control under the tarp. The LR is worth saving....
I have passed those everyday for several years now, the E34 does move now an again.

I know this place, the chap who owns them used to do some supply teaching at Sir Wililam Romneys School in Tetbury 18 years or so ago when I was there. He used to use the Land Rover to come back and forth to the School in! Have always been old cars parked up on his drive looking abandoned for as long as I can remember.

I'd like to see that old 101 move now! I've seen them there for years as well and just happened to be going slow enough to slow and take a picture

Can anyone identify any of the cars here? I can see a Mini Van for sure, and a MK1 capri buried. Sorry if this is a repost!

Back of a Farina Cambridge showing for sure, and I think an Austin EA Van. Otherwise I'm struggling.
