Can anyone identify any of the cars here? I can see a Mini Van for sure, and a MK1 capri buried. Sorry if this is a repost!
The blue estate sat on top of the pile is a MK2 Ford Cortina estate. Can anyone identify any of the cars here? I can see a Mini Van for sure, and a MK1 capri buried. Sorry if this is a repost!
And the green car below it appears to be a triumph Dolomite

Beautiful early 70's W115 Coupe (prob a 250) - pre facelift hence the smooth not ribbed tail light lenses. Worth £10k + in good nick but it may be rusted to buggery by now. Sadly, whilst looking for an image, it looks like a lot of them have probably met an ignominious end "slammed" to the ground on stupid massive wire wheels.

Had the pleasure of driving my uncle's one for my little sisters wedding - fantastic thing to waft around in with the webasto openhttp://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C570632
As noted they did indeed rot - I decided to have the sills replaced and it turned into a 2 week welding marathon - floorpan, bulkhead, inner wings you name it and it had been bodged with fibreglass...
Fabulous car though - XAP202J if anyone knows what happened to it...

That's a bit crap - I'd have expected a straight 6 in a convertible...
Factory never offered a convertible, it's either a home-brew chop or a conversion by someone like FLM Panelcraft. They also never offered a straight six in the P6. There was a prototype called P7 which had some kind of straight six, but it was a very ungainly nose-heavy thing. The four-cylinder wasn't much cop - as heavy and as thirsty as the V8, which was over 50% more powerful. The V8 was quite a nice thing for this decidedly non-sporty mini-barge.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
