Classics left to die/rotting pics
Discussion
I was in Monaco last week. We parked in an underground car park which had a lock up of lots of dying cars. I didn't get to properly look around, most of them were boring, modern every day cars but the best I saw was a Ferrari 360, Ferrari 550 Maranello and a Rolls Royce Phantom. Most of them had the doors open, and some had the bonnets open too. They were all covered in thick dust, it was obvious that the majority haven't moved in years. I don't know why they were there, whether they had been seized by police years ago or just forgotten about - it was quite spooky and haunting though.
The only decent one I managed to photograph was the Ferrari 550 Maranello.
Just seemed such a shame to me, to see a beautiful modern classic like this left to be consumed by dust!

Actually, it wasn't in Monaco but about 50 miles down the road near Alassio... lovely dark red 550... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/news/8269730/J...

Parked in the corner of a proper old village cricket club in deepest Kent where I was playing today. Christ only knows what it is/was.
It could be a Pattisson or similar. H Pattisson & Co Ltd (of Stanmore, Middlesex) made light tractors for sports grounds and golf courses, mostly from early Ford car components.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
