laugh Didn't notice the 'Spridget' wedged in there. Not sure that's a Hawk but as you say probably not a Volvo.

First time seeing that pic ^^ on a proper screen.

I couldn't decide if it was a Spridget in front of the red Spitfire but someone else says so too.

I don't understand the mentality of someone who gathers up stuff like this. The owner who drives something until it breaks down, casts it to one side and repeats I somehow get, not a behaviour I endorse but one I can understand and is evidenced by a lot of the single vehicle pictures that pop up in this forum. Here we have cars spanning various decades, it looks like they have been gathered up in pre-existing deteriorated states and simply left to further deteriorate. For what possible reason?

Ah, yes, but on the plus side, they did put RoStyle wheels on the Victor.

There was hope.

the Victor looks too good to have sat there in the open since it was just a used car, Vauxhalls of that era were notorious for rusting away

I reckon that has been restored, then abandoned again, which somehow makes it even worse

That won't mean anything to younger readers.

I admit it.

Wandered past a slightly run down bungalow while walking the dog and caught sight of a couple of classics rotting away, a couple of Mercs, a Rover and it looked like there were a couple more down the side of the house. There was also a large garage in the grounds, I would be interested to see what is languishing away in there!!

Is this by any chance along the A24 in the vicinity of Stoneleigh? I think I recognise the property in question.

The silver sports car is a Lotus Excel.
