Is this by any chance along the A24 in the vicinity of Stoneleigh? I think I recognise the property in question.

The silver sports car is a Lotus Excel.
Tha Landie is on A24, opposite the park.
The Lotus is in Tolworth.

Don't think so. It's got a bit of an HQ Premier about it, but it's not one of those. Yank I suspect.

I would agree, think of it with two doors, red with a white stripe down the side and then across the roof and it looks like a well know Torino!

Might be the angle of the photo but the nose / grill doesn't look right for a '72 based on pics on the web.

I'm not familiar enough with the yearly iterations of the Torino to be that specific!

Me neither! Just looked that way on Google. Need a proper yank beard to help.

I think that's a 72 Pontiac Lemans 4 door or one of it's GM cousins with same bodyshell.

Edit, wonder what happened to the rear doorhandles. Ripped off during a car chase whilst crashing through some empty boxes maybe.

Does the adjacent car hold any clues from a marque loyalty perspective?

Well, it's certainly a classic that's been left to die and rot, but the seller is being a little overoptimistic with the starting price. I think that it's likely to disintegrate even if it could be moved.

Some interesting photos.

Is the Merc too far gone for someone to consider saving?

It's scrap, but there's a BMW 502 parked next to it. Wonder if it's the 2.6 or 3.2 V8?
