Think this belongs here.

Been in the driveway a couple of weeks in suburban Derby. No front number plate, badge now gone missing (presumed stolen), car cover seemingly deliberately removed to show what it is. Very odd

Looks like the cover was on due to the fact the windscreen is broken/missing? Appears that the cover goes into a gap?
Towing eye on the front too, looks like somethings happened to it.

Yes, it looks to be damaged on the front splitter and n/s too.

Reckon it's a salvage car. Don't they remove number plates when they are sold for parts?

That's very sad. I'd take that...

As for Yank barges in Cornwall, Classic & Sports Car profiled a few years ago a chap down there who was running a mid-60s Lincoln Continental, one of the biggest of the Yank land yachts. His philosophy was "If a tractor can fit, so can this", with which you can't really argue, I suppose.

The numberplate has been removed to allow access to the towing eye threaded hole.

Is it a real one, or a Toyota Celica based Aston replica

Mmmm, something doesn't look 'right' about it, and I see all manner of kit cars at work.

Can't remember the last time I saw one of these.

On the outskirts of Crewe

I thought that had been there a long time, but it looked in better condition last time I paid any attention, to the extent that I put it in "classic cars spotted" rather than "left to die".

And why the garden gate in front of the front door? Is it a dodgy area?

I think it is an Austin 2200 which accounts for the better wheels and grille compared to the Landcrab.

AIRC it was marketed as a poverty spec Wolseley Six.

It's just an old Austin 1800 isn't it?

Looks like it from here anyway. They also did the Austin 3 litre (used to own one) which was the same mid-section but with longer front and rear to accommodate the straight 6 engine and rear wheel drive.
