The white one in the lower pic isn't an E Type is it? Surely it's a kit going off the 'A' pillar and screen surround. An Eagle perhaps?
confused I see nothing to suggest it's not an E-Type Roadster Series 1.5
If it is an Eagle it is still an E-type
Sorry, I knew that, what I actually meant was a JPR Wildcat.
I see what you mean now. To me it's the slightly bulbous rear wheel arch that suggests it's a copy.

Same old story, too many projects, not enough money and I have a CSL that needs my attention so it's with a specialist that has dealt with a lot of E9s who's selling it on my behalf frown
PM me the name if you don't mind...

spotted this just now. It's certainly not moved in around 4 years since I first saw it.
If you look closely it's actually sitting on bricks, what good that'll do I don't know, apart from keeping it up out of the flood water as it's vaguely near the river

(sorry, forgot to mention click on the pic for a bigger version)

Yes, I expect someone more cynical than you would have checked and seen how many cars I've shifted lately. At least 2 this year, a real life Arthur Daly from the looks of things. Should be hung if you ask me! I mean, just look at his feedback, out of 325 a whopping 10 of them are for selling, and even 7 were for cars, next thing you know he'll tell you that some of them weren't his! Well, heard that one before mate. You only 'ave to look at what the buyers have said about him to see that something dodgy is going on. I ask ya, do people really leave that sort of feedback "100% trustworthy seller as described would buy with confidence anytime" "thank you, very pleased with car, described very well, hope to deal again soon." "very genuine would recommend" "Thank you for a smooth and pleasant transaction A++++++++" Hang him high I says, Hang him high. No need for a jury, my nose can sniff a wrong en from a mile away

Lovely old Saab 900 turbo Carlsson. The owner has two other saabs, I keep spotting a documents enclosed sticker on the rear window but the car remains. Would love to take it on but the tin worm has been hungry on this one.

Here's one I bought recently. It's not for sale on here or any other site. I've had lots of interest from people that I know to not have to advertise it. Enjoy.thumbup

Just as an aside, I have a little word game that you can all play.

What is the Urban Dictionary definition of (insert word) Answer: is deragotory slang for a person seen as a square. Similar usage to looser, pud or wad. Give you a clue. It rhymes with JUMPER loser

The whole proportions are just wrong but most noticeable in the windscreen/A post height, hood and door length, as well as the wheelarches. It was actually the nasty wheels I noticed first.

I can't even face posting a picture of a "good" one to compare.... shudder.

From memory there was a company (Avon?) that built a replica E that was good enough to have interchangeable bonnets etc with the real thing. As I recall it cost about £30k though, which was roughly the value of a real one in ok condition at the time.

I didn't see that but I'm not an E-Type aficionado but always nice to learn something else. Now I know about Wildcats biggrin

Hi!

This isn't a classic car but I spotted this after walking through a public footpath of a 16th Century cottage. Seems like the cottage was abandoned at the same time.

So do I. We're restoring a 17th century cottage & would like to know if it's worse than ours.

You would be amazed how quickly this can happen to a car, Ben. I was given a Discovery a few years ago on condition I picked it up. It had stood for a while and was in slightly worse shape than the BMW. It had leaves stuck all over it. I scraped the windows and it started first go but there was no fuel registering. I drove to the first petrol station and, as I was filling it up, I noticed the staff in the shop pressed against the windows falling about laughing. When I went in to pay they asked if it was camouflaged. I paid for the fuel and bought two sessions of jet wash. Three years I owned it and sold it for £375. The car in your picture is just fine, I reckon.
