That Land Rover Series IIA was first registered in January 1966. DVLA think it is blue, so no doubt painted by/for the theme park.

The last tax disc expired 30 April 1995, and DVLA hold no MOT data for it.

That reminds me. Has Varosha been mentioned?
A beachside holiday resort devloepd in the early 1970s, it was left in No Mans Land by the partition of Cyprus in 1974. It's now a ghost town, with car dealerships, full of what were brand new cars when the War started.

Mostly about the town. Cars about half way down the page

It was mentioned earlier on in this thread but known as Famagusta and without that link that you've posted. Sad story and the cars if they are still there will be utter wrecks now just like the buildings.

Apart from the UniPower and the Europa Specials, there's a Lotus Seven S4, Mini Marcos, Elan S4 shell (on its side), Maserati Merak and a DeTomaso Mangusta on the first floor in front of an MGA Coupe.

The fact they are or were there, covered in dust suggests whoever had that place did one in a hurry.

Makes you wonder (well, it makes me wonder) what could possibly have happened to cause these all to be left? Even if the business was owned by one person that dropped dead (or was earthquake / tsunami victim perhaps), surely there would be other people who worked there, or accountants or lawyers, or relatives, that would deal with selling off the stock and closing the place down properly, especially given the potential value of some of that stuff. Would be interesting to know the full story.

Seen in a customers barn today. The 500 and Austin are untouched since the 70s, the midget last taxed in 1984.

It's dry in there though, so they're in surprisingly good nick.

I've known about them for a while - just never had an opportunity to photo them. The customer has always been present.
