MG A in a sorry state

I had 10 seconds to take these pictures as it was in a restricted area in famagusta cyprus and didn't fancy getting shot!!!!!

Isn't that a Magenta kit car based on Herald components rather than an MG?

ETA: Actually I think it's a Gentry TF replica rather than a Magenta.

It must be a Triumph of some sort by the look of the rocker cover and the Triumph gauges.

I'm pretty sure it's a Gentry kit car that were made in Leicestershire in the 70's, built on Herald or Vitesse chassis

Looks like it's one of many Triumph-based MG Tx kit cars, usually based on chopped Herald chassis.

Maybe a Spartan Sport? - http://www.spartan-oc.co.uk/photos/dstjohn/gallery...

Definately not a Spartan - I worked there and built more than I care to think. Almost 100% it's a Gentry as they copied the Spartan concept. The wings are fibre-glass versions of MG TF front wings. The only 'chopping of the chassis was shortening the front outrigger, the middle and rear out-riggers remained intact

The nearest car is a 2000E ,quite rare and the other looks like a Cosworth as there are marks where a spoiler

was on the rear boot.

That was my guess.

A virtual pint to the first person to ID all the cars in the picture incluing the covered ones (!).

It's not a TVR M despite the similar front wing moulding, they have a one-piece bonnet which is why I was thinking Rochdale Olympic as they have a smaller bonnet.

From nearest the camera, Inverted Elan chassis under tarp, Elan DHC + FHC under one tarp, Elan S2, A40, Rochdale Olympic, R5, McGovern/Bevan Imp and M100 Elan - not sure what the yellow boot belongs to though.
