Standard 8

Good condition for year?
It looks pretty much rust free. But of course looks can be deceptive.

Appears so, it's been there for most of the decade + we've been here. Even the plastic bits are giving up, the metalwork is shot. I think it's a Lenham coupe rear with a standard Midget front.

Firstly apologies for the really poor quality pictures, I spotted this car a while ago and had the opportunity to picture it this morning

It's been sitting for a long time, very very rusty.

It has the single lense Cibe headlights and bigger wheels of the post '83 facelift, but registered on an '82 Y. I thought all facelift cars were on an A onwards? Also, it looks like a leftie. The wiper mounts are for a LHD car, yet it's UK reg'd so possibly a conversion as it's difficult to tell if the wheel is on the left.

Whatever, an absolute tragedy to see it rot away like that....

Flat Single lenses were release the second half of 1982 (you are correct with the wheels - they are 8 inch ronals and not 6 inch). The LHD wipers is also correct for this year of car. They changed to RHD from 1984.

In 1984 they facelifted the car to slanted single lense and 8 inch ronals, as well as black rear lights, colour coded spoiler (which this has) and facelifted dash and digital clock.

How exciting, and that headline Ferrari 250 and Maserati are just wonderful.

Something doesn't add up with the dates though, left undiscovered for 50 years but includes a Ferrari 308, 400, and Mondial cab, all of which are from the 1980's (ish) scratchchin

I am sure these are the same cars which were discovered in the 80s, when the prices started to rocket and the then owner moved them. I have an article about it in an old supercar classics magazine ill try and scan in.

So very much known, but not available.
