My godfather had one of those. He took the bootlid off and used it for the sole purpose of taking his bins to the end of the road.

Might have already been mentioned but there is a Jensen Interceptor in a village near Husbands Bosworth (on the way to Market Harborough, could be Walcote can't quite remember)... And that's been sat under a cover since the mid 80s according to my old man! I travel that route to go to a shooting ground nearby and everytime I see the car it makes me cringe

There used to be one in a farm on the Dungeness Road between Greatstone and Lydd used as an animal coup - not been there for a couple of years but it was a total wreck last time I went past it.

Haven't any pics I'm afraid but I know of an Alpine GTA and a Rieger Scirocco that look pretty abandoned. PM me if interested.

Sitting in a compound in Ardwick Green, Manchester.

Probably a lot rougher closeup, you can see the rotten nearside wing from here not to mention whats hidden under the tarp. There is another lockup compound nearby on Fairfield St which includes a MK10/420G and a rotten Silver Spur, difficult getting pictures in case you get asked for business by ladies o0f a certain profession!

We had a brand new one (oooh weren't we posh). FOK 733L in blue. I remember swinging on the wing mirror and it coming off (and denying I did it to my Dad).

Reminds me of a icecreamvan to campervan conversion a student friend did 20 odd years ago. Still had the fridge in it for beer:-)

On a garage forecourt near me, about 40km north-west of Limoges, together with two complete Renault Dauphines and lots of other sad sights. Main pic is an Oldsmobile Toronado of the 1980s. The original Toronado was a mid-60s 7-litre monster with front-wheel-drive. That would have been worth finding...

I'll just put the engine on top of this tool box and Paul will lower the car over the top of it

just wiggle the engine onto the gearbox then bolt it up, just four bolts hold it in
wink

Yes it is a sad site - but there's lots more like it in this area.
When I came to live here years ago I was advised to drive defensively and always steer clear of the man in the Safrane!

This article was posted on Petrolblog a few years back and I recognised the garage as I've driven past it quite often. I spoke to MajorGav and he hadn't spotted the 944 around the side of the building so I intended to get a picture of it for ages so whilst out for a drive in the area today I thought I'd stop by and grab a pic or two.

I also found an old Japanese something with a GT badge on the back and "Born to be wild" painted down the side. The car was rusting to pieces and was hanging out of a ditch. I was going to grab a pic but I had a car behind me and nowhere to stop.

Speaking of 944s, how are the restorations going on your pair of 944s Rob? Not seen an update in your thread for a while. Looks like the white one is back on the road - what's the status of the blue one?
