Saw this in Oxford, valuable plate on it I'd say too.

I bet the owner has found out the price of the rear screen and cut his losses? This happened a few times when I worked at a Dealership, although the customer "agreed" to the work - they would not come in and pay the bill.

That old Merc wants towing outside (it made it in OK?) - a recorded delivery letter sending and then 2 months - and no claim - scrap it!
They aren't cheap, it's about £1500 for the rear screen on my C124.

LWB too... it doesn't look in bad nick, it's probably just been parked over the winter. Still, I hope it does see the road again soon. Having been 'that guy' who left a classic to rot to the point of being beyond salvation (Rover P6 3500S that I should have sold 16 years earlier than I did, by which time it was fit only to be a parts donor), I'd honestly rather these cars were stolen and restored than left to rust away under their rightful owners... if someone had nicked and restored my Rover and owned up after the deed, I'd have handed them the V5 with my thanks...

Not been taxed since 2009, and no MOT since Dec 2013 so not looking good.

Real shame, judging by my FiL's XKR of the same vintage which has been garaged all it's life I'd say this LWB Sovereign is rotten underneath.

Time flies, doesn't seem five minutes since I used to see that on the road regularly. The owner runs a hotel that goes by the same name as the plate.

Dvla records show it hasn't been taxed since 1998, and it's one of the full fat 3.8's weeping
