This sorry sight is what greets visitors to my workshop. It isn't mine. I don't know the owner and the landlord isn't interested... frown
Well Rob, if you're anywhere near Beverley, I could do with a nice Boxer engine for my Pembleton build....

I think the engine is probably the most-shagged part if it! The left-side head's been off for a very long time with the insides exposed to the elements.

I'm trying to rescue this "slightly" tidier version at the moment!

Pair of sad looking Jags which have recently been pulled out of an old barn & left where they currently are on some land in a small village on the outskirts of Clacton in Essex. I took these pictures on Saturday. Cream MkII looks like it might be recoverable; the other one (think it's a MkI) looks dead.

Indeed! The only way that's worth £750 is if there was £740 cash in the boot.

It's a W140 saloon. You can get a decent runner for not much more. This is for sale at £850...

Actually in Great Holland - past The Ship pub on the left (if you know the area); until very recently they have been out of sight. Land their on is to be re-developed so I assume that these will be removed in due course.

Co-incidentally I saw a very shiny red Jag MkII outside a garage on an industrial estate in Brentwood earlier.

Nice find TCEvo.... the 'dead' one is also a Mk2, Mk1s don't have the slim pillars and brightwork round the top of the doors, they're solid metal, similar to the doors on a Rover P4.

I'd imagine the cream Mk2 will yeald some decent spares if it turns out it's beyond saving.

What about this rarity.

Only 50,000 miles, sat for a number of years.

Spoke to the owner, put a battery on it and some fresh fuel, and it runs!

I think i may have agreed to buy it!eek

Ooh, turbo or the standard one?

We had a standard one, Dad wrote it off in 1991. It was put back on the road though later on in its life...

It won't have changed much.

Sold my turbo last year. There is s great specialist near Derby. Renault Alpine Tuning Services, chap called Lee.
Expect unreliable electrics.
