Spotted this Land Rover when I was out yesterday but my battery was flat so couldn't get a picture, street view has provided!

It's slowly being integrated into the hedge!!!
Looks like a Series One, worth money even in that state.

The e-bay car is right hand drive - the UK market cars were LHD in the four headlamp model like the press car for the launch (below). The LHD wiper set up would suggest that it's a conversion.

Press car
You are correct, HUF675X was converted to RHD by David Sutton Motorsport before the RHD cars became available in the 1983 build year. (post Sept '82).
Sounds right. I had an October 82 that was very early right hand drive. These cars are huge fun and ooze character and presence like no later version did.

My "realistic" dream garage would contain a '90 20v Ur Quattro. Lottery win would see me adding a SWB Sport Quattro. Like this:

Sticking to the rally theme, these have been here a while. They are under cover(just), but I've not seen them move since they where put there a few years ago.

I think the guy has a third one as well. I hope is going to do some thing with them.

Found this a few months ago,

Went to a colleagues house, whilst loitering outside, I peeked through her prefab garage window, and spyed a car under a cover. All I could see was the wheel with a symbol I didn't recognise. So I went back in the house and asked her what was hidden in the garage. "Oh, I don't something Japanese which an ex boyfriend from 7 years ago left here, do you want to see it"

So after fighting through 7 years of cob webs and junk, I managed to peek at the front, side interior and just about got to the rear.

Cars sills look solid, interior looks mint, couldn't see any terrible rust signs.

I think it some sort of celica GT, as its a 2 door coupe fastback, but I couldn't see any signs of celica on it, just the below griffin or Griffith badge on the fastback C pillar (behind rear qtr lights" And it had the same name but in normal 1" high chrome lettering across the boot OSR. The integral spoiler on the rear made me think it a bit special

Someone on a J forum ID'd it as a Griffith TX22, a targa conversion by an American company of the celica GT

I then found the origenal owner who posted the below;

It's a targatop, a sunchaser version of the gen 2 celica ra40 like the blue one in the picture. It's really my dads car, which he brought in 1990 and sold it on in late 1991 to go on holiday, not knowing at the time how rare it was. He has a old photo, a previous mot and receipt somewhere for it. It was years after until he realised what he actually had. The same owner to whom the car was sold in 1991 is still the registered keeper for it today. We have been trying to contact him for years but had no luck still knowing the car is around somewhere. Seeing pictures of it on here after 22 years is unreal, Jamie has found a true barn find and we are really hoping he can get us this car back.

They have now bought he car back for £10k

A quite fascinating story. The Celica Sunchaser conversion was done by Jack Griffith of original (ie. 1960s) TVR Griffith fame. According to "The Griffith Years" about 6000 conversions were produced, but I had no idea any had ever made their way across the pond. Great to see it saved.

Oliver.

Story in the Mail today about how the wreckage of the Pan Am flight 103 is still kept in a scrap yard in Lincolnshire. Looks to have a few classic in there too. The bottom left one looks a bit Healey 3000 ish.

I think that photo was posted a few pages back and most of the cards identified.

It did get mentioned on page 30 of this thread, but this shot is clearer and I'm sure that the small coupe near the fence is a 105 Alfa.
