Cobra "replicas". with the aforementioned walnut dash, piped leather, chrome crap etc.
Did anyone mention glass sunroofs / sunrooves? Horrible leaky things.
And as for those people who take a perfectly good Bentley turbo r and strip it out for track use......

Absolute rubbish if I may say so. I suggest you look here:-

Many years ago areas such as London had hardly enough plates to register cars, which is why the "new" system was introduced in 1963. But areas in Scotland didn't use even half the numbers allocated, hence the use by the DVLA to give age related plates. Clackmannanshire had only got up to GSL when the new system was introduced, so the rest are used for revived or imported classics which have not enough documentation to reclaim the original number.
Thankyou-saved me the bother.Having "been there"etchttp://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/registrations/reg-l...

Help! My Eyes! That is sooo.... 70's and the dangly bits around the door rubber. But I s'pose it IS a Mk3 Cortina......
Some of these modifications are ok on the righr car.... I am restoring a 1976 MGBGT (ruber bumper) and I'd put the chrome sill covers on if I paint it black when I've finished. It will probably end up the greeny yellow it was originally so the covers would look wrong. But it won't have wire wheels and definitely never ever chrome wires.
