Thankyou.

I was interested to see that you are restoring a 3000M - I ran one as my daily driver back in around 1980. Not the most reliable car I ever owned, but not the worst, either (that title goes to my Ginetta, by a country mile!)

ETA: that Skyline cloud9 can't be many of them in the uk.
According to his post in Reader's Cars - 3, and his is the only one on the road.
It is very lovely.

3 KPGC10s i believe, though there's more and more interest so expect that number to grow (1 race, 1 road, 1 under restoration) and a few KGC10s, GC10s

For the uninitiated can you say what a KGC10 etc. is?

What a super cool car, sir! For me your post is right up there with the person who posted a picture of their garage (with an M1 sat inside) a while back. Neither of you felt the need for explanation.

Pistonheads at its best!

I'm now waiting for someone to casually drop a picture of their Toyota 2000GT into the thread!

That would indeed be a cool post! Are there any here in the UK (anyone)?

I was working at Chobham doing some vehicle testing back in the late '80s when a crew turned up with a Toyota 2000GT for filming. Given my obvious interest, once filming was complete I was offered a short drive before they loaded the car up and took it away again. Made my day!

But to answer your question I suspect there might be one or two here but I've never seen one being driven since that day at Chobham.

I think JD Classics have had one or two 2000 GTs through their workshops in recent years. I seem to remember they had a white one not that long ago.

The one I drove was red...maybe it was the one pictured above, in which case it has been in the country for many years.

A great thread all, spent the last few days reading it all end to end. Many a lovely varied motor within. I had no idea that Heralds were so popular either!

I've saved my favourites for the one day dream garage on a Pininterest page, if anyone wants a look at my particular faves - https://uk.pinterest.com/betterleather/classic-car...
