Whatty, I'm exit 162 then a bit east I keep meaning to get to the Chatham meet but never seem to have the time... Love the 964 BTW, keep trying to convince my best friend to NOT get a water cooled car.. who needs a grenading engine? VetteG, those wheels are beautiful... I was just thinking that a set of those would look outstanding on, say, a 67-68 Impala.

I wouldn't say mine is really a classic, but here it is anyway, my only car and a daily driver: Some lovely cars above, I hope the green Jarama will be at Brooklands Auto Italia this year...?

This thread needs more Landies, if only to help tow the other stuff, so here's some more shots of mine, featuring high quality hand painting (and door tops still in primer in some shots). I have a soft spot for this old heap, because it left Solihull never to return in 1981, as did I. It has, however, got more knobs than I have (what boy can resist a machine with four gear sticks?). This Landy started out as a farm van painted blue, but the previous owner painted it in an army sand colour, and I bought the safari station wagon roof and sides from another Landy that had rotted (along with the engine and gearbox as spares). Driving it is like putting your head in a tin bucket while someone hits it with a hammer. I once got the thing up to about 50 mph, which taught me the true meaning of fear. The brakes are about as good as tying a brick to the wing mirror and chucking it out behind the car. I have no idea if the snorkel works. I have driven it into the sea to tow a boat, and to amuse some small boys in the back, but we did not go that deep. I hosed it off afterwards, and it seems to survive living under a protective layer of gooses*t in a friend's field.
