Didnt want to show my one solitary car after some of the stuff in this thread, but I shall. Probably not even considered 'classic' by those who still clearly remember the late 90s and Max Power.
1989 Vauxhall Nova with the sixties Opel OHV 1.0 engine. Nippy for engine size still IMO and makes a nice growl when pressed.
I bet that's a lot of fun on the right road. Keep it another few years and it'll be a rare car with a lot of people remembering how they had one1989 Vauxhall Nova with the sixties Opel OHV 1.0 engine. Nippy for engine size still IMO and makes a nice growl when pressed.

nice colour. . .4 doors though ? don't know my Fast Fords but are real ones only two doors ?? I mean no offence by the way, great looking motor
I doubt you'd know from the drivers seat though?Edited by benters on Tuesday 1st April 09:00
Given the choice between having a 4 door, or no Escort at all, I'd have a more door in a heartbeat.

It is surprisingly fun even being a poverty-spec base model. Going to take it hillclimbing (see other thread in Club Motorsport forum) this year hopefully. Won't win classes but be a good laugh! And that R5 GT Turbo here is just....:O Droolworthy!!

I like the four door Mk2s more than I used to, but I don't think I could get have one myself.

She's looking good though Alec. Do you go to many events? Perhaps bring it to Burghley House on 27th July? 150+ Astons and a few Lagondas going and it would be great tp see some older cars too. Thread here. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Ha - thank you - appearances can be deceiving, she's no show pony. I've yet to do any distance testing yet so I don't know how it behaves on a long run. Obviously the engine seal wasn't up to much!Yertis said:
