Lovely car Kevbo!

Never seen one of that age without the increased height outer headlights (which I thought all the European cars had to meet the then current legislation).
Thanks theadman, I think only uk destined cars had to have the increased height headlights, 24" from ground. My car is an Italian market car built as optional RHD, according to the history I have.

Spent various points of the weekend polishing and gliding along in this in the name of my sisters wedding. Uncles car so have known it all my life, I even use to sneak into it at my grandparents from a very early age to just sit in and ponder while it was off the road - was an absolute pleasure to finally be able to drive it.

My Lancia Fulvia
Lovely.
I've only ever had one Lancia, a black 1600 HPE, but it was a really nice car.
So ahead of their time. I drove a 1.3S Zagato a few years ago. Shocked by the agile and tech-feel.

Shame they did not come with a 2 litre engine. Now they are no match for the Cortinas, Bertones and 1802s in the U2TC.

I stand to be corrected but something buried in the old grey cells tells me that a lot of "press / test car" Fords of that era had number plates ending in OO nerd

Indeed, I am very fortunate to have driven a couple of his other toys as well, his 1901 car takes some getting used to however!

Reposted from another forum, but I am pleased as punch with the way the restoration has turned out. Thanks to all here (esp Lowdrag) for help on random queries.

The real thing? Very nice. Does it have any interesting history?
