One mans classic is another's slightly mucky green shagged out old shipping car.
Each to their own.
Wow, You certainly don't hold back, I don't get some cars they call classics and agree each to there own, but would never slate peoples choices whatever they are,Each to their own.
I get you don't like them but to slag it off and call it shagged out when you don't know me or my cars I think is a bit strong.

Life's all about contrast, not meant to be offensive.I get you don't like them but to slag it off and call it shagged out when you don't know me or my cars I think is a bit strong.
One of my best mates loves the whole Oak green Golf thing so we regularly take the piss out of each other.
To me it's a weird mucky green, he calls my FF the creepy coupe.
Works amongst mates down the pub, perhaps less well with strangers when written down.
Sorry if it offended, enjoy your cars.
Beautiful car mate, a very close friend of mine has an absolutely mint 79 308 GT4, Its stunning throughout, used to be a top runner in the club concours scene, I can really admire the wedge shape and lines of the car but strangely have no desire to own it.
My feet are firmly grounded in the Porsche camp with my 911 GT3.

Love the Golf Gti....I've had three now....one of which used to spit huge flames on the downshift to the amusement of my son and his mates when overtaking their school bus
Heres one I'm particularly proud of recommissioning....green I'm afraid Bertie, and not a Fezza. But with only13k from new, certainly not shagged out !

I've a 1983 Ferrari 308GTB QV, one of 73 RHD GTB QVs, my first foray into classics if you consider it old enough. My feet are firmly grounded in the Porsche camp with my 911 GT3.
Also a 2003 575 Maranello, one of 69 manual RHD cars. Something very special about a V12 with a manual box.
The FF is the sensible family car, the 458 Spider the exciting one.
Never tried a GT3 but sorely tempted.
Enjoy.

Introducing my 1975 mgb gt in green
It's tundra green, also known as olive drab. I personally like this colour!
Always had a 'thing' for an MGB in Tundra. Once saw a c/b roadster in Tundra. The paintwork was original, in great shape with a remarkably well cared for patina ...it looked so very right. PS That's a very smart B' you have there. It's tundra green, also known as olive drab. I personally like this colour!

Tidy - I think if I ever get to buy my first classic, it'll be one of the rubber bumper BGTs.
Hat's off to you, Sam. One would never has heard this until a few years ago. The r/b B's are really gaining in popularity ...and it's about time too. They offer excellent value for money. Keep saving the scheckels and you'll have one on the driveway. v8250 said:

Well, if it was up to me, I'd have the chrome bumper as they look nicer and handle better, but obviously they fetch a far prettier penny! As you say though, the rubber bumper offers great VFM, and still looks the part! A good entry to the classic world I think, and yours looks a great example Vee8man said:

I showed my wife the pics as she had a 65 Vitesse before we started dating (sold in about 95) and she said, "Oh, that's a 2 litre...mine was the 1600 straight 6." I didn't know the front grilles were different for the 2 litre - she did!
