Yours is gorgeous!
A little like the 308 GT4, somehow the 70's and 80's cars are growing into their skin. Mine is very good to drive, but there are some very bad ones out there. I saw a 400 the other day that must need £20k spending on it to make it a nice one.....the bills can be horrendous if parts are required. Even some basic servicing can be huge.Yours is gorgeous!

My mates seem to think it's an unfinished project. It goes to the trimmer in the next week for a full interior then I'll see what I can do to add more carbs to the straight 8.
What is it, by the way. I thought it was a Plymouth, but I didn't see one the same on Google Images, so must be wrong.
Came with all the dealer paperwork and complimentry demister wipers. Unused.
Incredible car! Is it right hand drive?
My grandfather bought a Buick Roadmaster Straight Eight new in 1948. It was a factory right hand drive car, which must be fairly rare, I should think.
He kept it a long time - it was the favourite car he had. He sold it at some time in the 1970s.
He had originally intended to get a Cadillac (I believe the Roadmaster replaced a Cadillac), but had been unable to get hold of one with right hand drive. When he picked the Roadmaster up at the port, a police officer followed him for a mile or two, then pulled him over. My grandfather was initially worried, but the policeman just wanted to sit in the car! They talked about the Buick for quite some time, apparently!
I wonder how many right hand drive Roadmasters Buick built?

I bought this 1938 Austin Ruby at the weekend from a local classic dealer and it should be delivered later this week. This photo makes it look mint but its clearly an eighty year old car in the flesh.
I strongly suspect that we'll end up with one eventually, my mrs loves them

Watch out, they are addictive. There are three in my garage with bits to put together another one...
Hi mate,What is the comfortable cruising speed of a Ruby? I'm guessing it's similar to the 1928 Royal Enfield sidecar outfit I posted above (~35-40mph)?
I don't have a Ruby but do have an Ulster which will cruise happily at 55 - 60 on a smooth road. The Chummy is more like 40 ish but is pretty standard, the saloons haven't been on the road for years but one is supercharged for racing and is quick, the other is for trials so speed not a priority.
