Just back from Laon for the Historique weekend, so I couldnt resist a quick blast down to Reims to visit the old GP circuit in the Mustang. Here's a few pics.

I've a similar dream, except it's got to perform wedding car duties this September first - got a bit of work to do...

Hi mate,

What is the comfortable cruising speed of a Ruby? I'm guessing it's similar to the 1928 Royal Enfield sidecar outfit I posted above (~35-40mph)?
Depends on what you mean by comfortable, but that sounds about right. They are fairly easy to get a bit more poke out of if needed, plenty of people around to help as well.

I don't have a Ruby but do have an Ulster which will cruise happily at 55 - 60 on a smooth road. The Chummy is more like 40 ish but is pretty standard, the saloons haven't been on the road for years but one is supercharged for racing and is quick, the other is for trials so speed not a priority.
Thanks for that. It's a few years off yet (due to space constraints!) before we can think about it, but I was wondering how they'd compare to the old Enfield as I suppose they'd have been fairly similar propositions back in their day smile

Lovely, and I think that John Sprinzel has just become the Patron. By the way, what's that in front of the Austin?
