All credit for keeping hold of it for so long and lavishing love on it....but isn't this a bit like leaving the wrapper on a sofa so you don't spoil it? What is the point in keeping it and never using it? Maybe if you have a collection of cars or another which you use regularly and get enjoyment from. Otherwise I don't get it but each to their own. Enjoy it in whatever way pleases you.
Cars need to be used or what are they but lumps of metal. As soon as the ignition Key turns you bring an object to life its one of the most wonderful things we have. If you want to pay homage to a Car then use it.JimmyJam said:

Your right really it is a shame not to use it, but I guess this ones become more of an garage ornament to me.
You never know when time allows I may bring her out and get a fresh mot on it
I have had collector asking to buy it for coupe of years, I just can't bring myself to part with it.

How do I park it? Carefully, lol. Not that it gets parked in public places a lot these days.
And it's only 18 feet long, not twenty, like that makes a difference. And two doors are cool although I understand why you're confused but they did make a lot of four doors as well!
Love your Impala and couldn't agree more re: 2 doors, I have been lusting after a 1963 1/2 Galaxie Fastback with a 427 and 4 on the floor - fortunately I haven't found one in my ideal spec so haven't taken the plunge! Parking and fuel consumption would be my main worries And it's only 18 feet long, not twenty, like that makes a difference.
