clap

Lovely.

Although we don't talk of such things, it's probably appreciated by more than the work cost in that time...

Indeed JAYB, but you have to sell it to realise the benefit and I have no plans to do that!

This is my very rare spanish built Authi Mini Van 1000. One of 1200 built, before the factory went up in flames and closed.

It was used by Olympic Airways inside the old Hellinikon Airport in Athens for over 30 years.

I used to see these cars in the Airport as a Yyoungster and always wanted one. Most of them were scrapped when the Airport closed. This is one of the very few survivors.
I bought it in a very sorry state and finished the resto last year. I though it would be easy but most electrical commponets for example were made by FEMSA and not Lucas. I had to search high and low in Spanish add sites to find the correct parts.

Went back to the old abandoned Olympic airport terminal for some pics. It might soon get demolished.

Thats lovely.. Is that an old Trident in the bottom pic??
Love it and great photos on site, really evocative mix of today and bygone era.

Thank you for the kind comments. There is a security guarded gate that leads into the Airport area. I have been told that he is quite lenient with R/C airplane Flyers, so I will give it a shot on Sunday.

Here are a couple of pictures of a Spider I used to own inside the Airport, during a car show that was held there some years ago.

Modern classic here:

And a not-so-modern classic:

I love both of them so much, though the Griffith is griefing me a bit trying to get it road legal in germany.

Took it in last October to get the rust sorted out. Got it back tonight, took the long way home and it didn't miss a beat. Absence has certainly made the heart grow fonder!

Tremendously good looking car.

That's a Boeing 727, rather than a Trident.

Thanks, the styling is definitely coming into it's own after many years out of fashion.

Here's a video I made on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VLrysnSwkg

And some film of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qy883Z-ELM

I bought this last month from RPM Technik, a 1980 911SC Targa
Still learning the "famous" 915 gearbox + Cable operated clutch... I use less energy if I just walk to my destination.

After getting the old coupe back from paint and mechanical work, I took it out to a few local shows:

Atherstone Heritage Motor Show.

Car Cafe, Nottingham.

Another from Nottingham.

& this one from Lutterworth MOT Centre's own gig, the only one I took on my phone.

Not usually a fan of big old Mercs but that looks lovely.
