That is lovely - what a great daily that must be.
Thank you, it truly is a wonderful piece of kit. Comfy, handles great, cruises all day at 90, everything works (wipers heater etc) and the interior is original and mint - puts a smile on my face every time I get in it.I'm only the 3rd owner and it has every book, bill and full BMW service history - she's a keeper :-)

My very good friend Trevor Sharpe currently holds the European record for a bus at 11.59, just a tenth off being the quickest on the planet.....it's had some mods over the winter and we are shooting to be the first ever 10second bus this year.
It should also be pointed out that he drives it to the strip, it still has a full camping interior, cooker, wardrobe, fridge the lot :-)

Lovely. Still running on the original Solex's?
Yep, totally stock but the carbs have had their best. Just trying to decide at the moment between a set of webers of fuel injection (oh and a curved ball in the shape of Mikuni flat slide bike carbs) I've never regretted injecting my VW so I think that route will probably win. I guess the perfect set up would be an old set of webers modded for efi, I know someone does them, seen them on a website, but can't for the life of me find out who now :-(

My first BMW was a 2002tii with the Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection system - it wasn't running quite right so a few people suggested replacing the system with 'ti' Solex set-up or a similar set-up of Webbers; I persisted with the Kugelfischer (new belt, cleaned and flowed injectors, and set-up by the book) and had many happy and reliable years with it..... while the rest of the car rotted around it

For day to day EFI its not that hard to augment on a 4 banger and the world is your oyster in the EFI ecu world like mentioned already what a terrific daily driver not seen these in numbers since I was a kid and that was a long time ago not a lover of air cooled stuff but I do like to see a decent split screen an what you guys do with those flat 4's is crazy nowadays seen a few go up the strip inc a Turbo and SC'ed beetle that was just insane to watch I've never regretted injecting my VW so I think that route will probably win. Thanks. They seem to have become quite popular on the historic race seen, more and more turn up each year :-) Whereabouts are you? We're planning an 02 drive it day later this year and another NK would be great.
I'm in London/Surrey so if it's local please keep me informed
Legacywr - had it about a year, paid a bit more than 7k for it though! I'm not really bothered as its a keeper, I buy on what I think they're worth to me not anyone else ;-) can't ever see me losing money on it with so few left. I quite like the fact that not so many people know what it is or little about them, everyone always says oh you've got a 2002 - errr no.....

Which the Cortina or the Rover? I'm glad you've said it, I was going to say that very few classic cars are improved by fitting modern wheels. Neither of these are improvements to my eyes.
The Jensen Alloys are a very period and cool mod for a P5B..The alloys are from the same era!!N.
