Is it just the pic or is the body of the left headlamp deeper than the right and does it fit its aperture better?
The fit of the light pods is spot on, the gap you see on the offside pod is just the same on the outside of the other. The roof has indeed been painted a deep metallic purple when it was restored 20 odd years ago. They were often silver or gold flake but the then owner decided to do something different. I love i, but it won't be everyone's cup of tea. I will get some better pics when I get a chance.

I'm sure there will be some remarks "that's not a classic"
This has been in hibernation for the last five years, storage has not been kind to the paintwork. My brother has kindly dragged it out and got it running and mot'd for me and I drove it back from West Wales today. (The last time I drove it was when I took it down there.)
It drives really nicely, but I find it an ordeal to get in and out with the hood up so I think it will have to go. I think the poor thing has now spent more of its life laid up than being used, still that's probably why it has survived.
I think these are definitely a classic. I'm working out my own new definition of the phrase 'classic car' anyway. Any car you can work on and fix yourself with a degree in electronic engineering or access to specialist diagnostic gear = classic. Thy are such lovely elegant cars, the like of which you don't see today. The roof has indeed been painted a deep metallic purple when it was restored 20 odd years ago. I think they were in the doldrums for many years..ironically coupes are probably more sought after than the convertibles these days since they can be made into very competent race cars!!This has been in hibernation for the last five years, storage has not been kind to the paintwork. Is that Tara Green?
No it's Triton Green metallic, the colour is a bit dull in the photograph, it is a very bright metallic lime green, which goes really well with the blue check trim.I'm now braving eBay and Car and Classic, I've already had a best offer of a third of my asking price, (had some better ones as well getting close to what I will let it go for), hopefully it'll be gone before too long.
