Could you make a Low Drag project thread for this. I'm sure plenty of us will bookmark
The shell is going to take 10 to 12 months to build and is beyond my abilities, however the oily bits will be done at home and some are already finished. As and when I complete something interesting I will post. Thanks for the interest

Out of interest is that how it would have left the factory or would Ford have covered it in black gunk?
This is a tricky oneFrom factory the car would have come with a thin layer of primer on the underside. When the factory applied paint to the outside a certain amount of over spray would have partially dusted the outer edges of the underside
So, difficult to replicate when restoring a car plus it's nice to do a complete job

Indeed, was just curious. Thin coat of primer doesn't sound too robust! From factory the car would have come with a thin layer of primer on the underside. When the factory applied paint to the outside a certain amount of over spray would have partially dusted the outer edges of the underside

Oh yes, I'm fully expecting both cills to disintegrate, and its pretty frilly behind those arch covers too. However, there is some sentimental attachment, and a lot of optimism on my part! I found one place today that may be able to do the work, but if anyone knows a good welder in Essex or east London then do shout...

I've already posted a few shots of my Cooper S but I picked up these rare-ish early Cosmic 5''x10'' alloys for it this morning at the Stanford Hall show... can anyone recommend a good wheel refurbisher in the Warwickshire / Northants area...?
Love the wheels - quite a find and they will look great on your car. Pristine Wheels in Woburn Sands, Milton Keynes have a good reputation. Haven't used them myself but know a number of people who have with good results. I've no connection with the company, by the way.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
