Thanks gents - as for centre caps, the correct ones are hard to find so I might end up modifying some existing ones or having a set machined up. The D1s came off the car and will probably go on the next Mini project, I went to have a shuftie at a 1970 Mk3 yesterday and I've got another one lined up to view, hopefully tomorrow. I thought the Mini bug would have died a death by now, but thirty odd years later I can't seem to shake it off rolleyes

It is a tough bug to shake... biggrin But a good one.

I've had to move on the 63 'S frown

I've bought a new car, and the Stag and Jensen both need a little investment in, and it will be easier to re-home than the TR6.

Hope the little 'S has gone to a loving home. I am now, however, deeply upset at not owning a Stag or an Interceptor. It's not right you know. I'm a bit of a magpie when it comes to saving photos found on the 'net, I must have thousands of old Minis pics clogging up my hard drive and a couple of hundred Jensen pics too, every now and then I trawl through them, staring whistfully at the monitor hoping against hope that a stray Mk1 FF will miraculously be left to me in a lost Uncle's will.

A chap can hope!

Edit : I had a look at this last night, got another lined up to view but am very tempted...

Cosmics now fitted, alas the balance weights on the rear of the fronts are rubbing slightly on the brake calipers so I'll need to do some fettling...

Do you a have a full side on photo of the car with the Dunlops fitted ?

Because the bike's so small they need to be angled up.

Cosmics are lovely ,and I do appreciate the rarity value of them , but I think the Dunlops look superb on a black car like yours.
Mini's just look best with 10 inch wheels .
I hope you keep both sets and change them when the mood takes you.

I'm keeping the Dunlops for now Dan, they might go on another Mini soon anyway. I know the car looks black in the photos but it's very dark purple wink

After a 3 and a half year nut and bolt restoration by an Italian specialist, I finaly picked up my Citroen and drove it back to Athens. 800 troublefree kilometres.
The quality of the work is incredible. It just shines.

Gorgeous, and a credit to your wallet wink

It's a shame so many Safaris have been left to die. Wonderful vehicles.

Just bought this XJ-S, yesterday, having been looking for awhile. 1983 V12 with a manual gearbox conversion. My drive home was a 100 mile slog up the A1 in Friday afternoon traffic. The big cat performed admirably. Whilst this isn't the ideal plan with an 'unknown quantity', it worked well as a good way to get to know the car and build confidence in it. A few foibles revealed themselves, but essentially the car performed very well. The clutch felt light in the stop-start traffic, the air con needs sorting (which can be a big job, new wiper blades needed etc.
