52 Classic is very close, it is a 1959 Fairthorpe Atom Major
That's exactly what I was about to say. Really.

Looks a fun little thing - what are the plans?

Plans are to restore it next year, it may well get used as my daily driver, currently using an A35 for that. It was raced in 1959 at Snetterton with a Supercharger fitted to the 948cc engine!.......Martin

Just bought this, it`s been shut in a garage for 40 years, last driven in 1973...........
Interested to see how long it takes before someone posts what it is?

The looks only a mother could love. Good luck with the work though

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, personally I love it, I agree that it would certainly look much better in a more suitable colour, current favourites are light metallic blue or a very bright white. Probably opening myself up to all sorts of comic suggestions but anyone have an opinion on a colour?........Martin

Not sure about the metallic, Martin. How about Triumph Wedgwood Blue or BMC Fiesta Yellow? AIRC fiesta yellow Minis had a light blue interior.

Wedgewood Blue certainly is a nice colour but too close to the colour of my Electron Minor...........Martin

Anyway, lurking in the shadows...

Nice in white, not sure about the Boxster S wheels though, wrong period, they look too modern.
Thanks! Agree about the wheels, and if I've got any money left when the rears need replacing I'll look for a set of 16" drain covers. Until then, there are other things to be done, mostly involving filling the fuel tankbiggrin

Charming esoteric wee thing that fills its arches, almost looks stanced.
Butterscotch/honey might suit it. I'd avoid yellow or orange as too plasticy.

That would be Powder Blue in the Fiesta Yellow Minis, a very fetching combination these days, although not that popular in period. A mate of mine had a 1071 Cooper S in this colour combo and it looked a gem.

What a fantastic thing to find - bet you couldn't believe it! 40 years tucked away. Interior looks in decent nick to be fair.

I agree with that - I think butterscotch could be perfect for it too.

Any chance of non-wide angle pics?

Not sure that is wide angle, it was taken on a Galaxy tablet, here are some more pictures if that helps..........Martin
