just finished it this week, started as a 5£ bet at Christmas that I couldn't get it ready for the Le Mans trip, obviously lost the fiver and spent ££££s to lose it, looks nice though doesn't it.

1981 XJS Lynx Spyder.

Very cool. Looks like the Lynx conversion retained the back seats?

And a very nice "race car" it is too. Any pic's of it in action, preferably waggling a nearside front in mid air..?

My E30 M3 1987. Stock with BBS Rims, AC Schnitzer Handling Kit and added Alcantara Wheel, which is the icing on the cake for drived. (Steering wheel By Ledermanz on ebay by the way, very good quality. Recommended)
Managed to get the rara as rocking horse sh=t tyres from Germany through a mate. Liquid Glass polish and loads of bit done, like original bushes etc. Car is back from from the shop and feels very tight. Love it.

The arches on the Sprint look great and fit a treat - where did you get them / who are they made by? smile

Must confess they're not to my taste. Were they ever like that on triumphs back in the day?

I like the arches. Also I suspect that there were examples of race and rally prepped Dolomites from the late Seventies and early Eighties, that wore similar arches. So in my eyes its a fairly correct period mod.

I also like arches, specially when painted in the body colour.

I like the arches on the Dolomite but I think they would look even better if they were body coloured.

Personally, I think that was a classic the day it was born. cloud9

I love your midget - great colour. I built a fast road midget a few years ago and absolutely loved it - unfortunately the car now lives in Germany but if I ever find more space just might build another.

Why thank you sir smile

Only the Group 2 Sprints had wide arches, I do have a set of group 2 arches but these are 1" wider, so not good for a period correct car. My car is an old snotter so she's getting well and truly abused. A company called SprintSpeed make these arches. http://www.sprintspeed.co.uk/pages/poe-track-day-c...

The arches have been primed and rattle canned whilst I finish of the trim etc. Then I can drive it to the body shop for a proper paint.
