Maybe its because I did most of my growing up in the Eighties but I adore the boxy biturbo Maseratis. I hope you enjoy it!
Likewise. I've never seen the true logic but I can pretty much remember each one I saw as a child. I think it ticked many top trump boxes with multiple front lights, multiple rear exhausts but also the lines of the whole car. It was a family saloon that was like no other in a world where the best family saloons were the rounded, classic looking XJ and Shadow.

Love 'em.
What do you think after owning one? How's the bork?
Bet they're fun!
The previous owner undertook a rolling restoration and spent a serious amount getting it perfect, hence it's in great shape. Ghiblis are thin on the ground, let alone for a good one, so it was an easy decision even though it's not a manual. history is everything on these. What do you think after owning one? How's the bork?

280 bhp, 1400kg, no abs, no traction and 225 tyres make it a fun 4 seater.

That's stunning, what's the engine spec and who did it?
It was done by Guy Croft and came back with a list which to me may as well have been in Chinese, my dad didn't have much more of an idea either!I believe it was re-bored, forged pistons and rings, gas flowed head etc. but I'd need to find the list for anything else.

I couldn't handle the thought of a Maserati overhead cam engine breaking so decided on a De Tomaso equivalent which is comparatively pocket change to rebuild..

Your De Tomaso looks lovely, a good friend of mine is nearing the completion of a restoration of a 4.9 Kyalami, he's done heaps himself including an engine rebuild, I hate to think what it would have cost otherwise.Phil
I've always had a real liking for De Tomasos, Freddie Moss used to race a Mangusta in the Auto Italia in the top class whilst I looked up misty eyed in the "up to 1400cc unmodified" category. The speed differential was massive and the noise was glorious, it made it worth while getting lapped.
Guy croft build for the Fiat, that won't have been cheap!

They certainly wasnt slow back in the day, I rode in a dark brown one these would eat the likes of 1600E cortina's and other GT Fords of the day for breakfast no wonder with that lovely little twin cam and I am a Ford motor fan Nice job you must be well pleased I believe it was re-bored, forged pistons and rings, gas flowed head etc. but I'd need to find the list for anything else.
