Totally love the Merc. Is it really a "V"? It looks like the later model.
Thanks! Yup, V reg, build '79. one of the last before the facelift.

Love the blue Mk3 Spitty - still reckon they are one of the prettiest sports cars ever (and one of the best fun cars ever).

Mine, both seen on here previously but first time they have been out in the sunshine together... the Austin went into the garage for a quick motor transplant over two years ago and has rarely been seen outside since. Changed from a 4.2 XJ6 lump to a 2.8 version of the same - the smaller engine has caused so many clearance/space issues and a health problem hasn't helped but we are nearly there (again)...

My Nipper drove himself off to school earlier

Looks slightly out of place in the School car park but very cool

What a lovely thing. Pretty much any Lotus in JPS colours is...

Thanks for the kind comments

MOT booked for this week and I hope to register it with DVLA without too much fuss, and can then get out and enjoy it

Not a classic (yet) but it is a school car park
There is a separate topic entitled something like "Badly parked cars" - I assume you meant to post there? whistlesmile

Very nice! Always had a soft spot for Neue Klasses, a friend had 1 of 200 1800 Ti/SAs and my dad had a 1965 1800 road car, sadly now been cannibalised for Motorsport but the new owner said he couldn't believe there was no rust on it!

My mates seem to think it's an unfinished project. It goes to the trimmer in the next week for a full interior then I'll see what I can do to add more carbs to the straight 8.

That's my confusion. '79 is prefacelift yet it has the headrests from the facelift cars... Beautiful colour though - orient red?

It has a lovely patina. You'd have to paint it in this country though, I suspect the rust would very soon get out of hand if you didn't. Patina like this is probably dry climate only!

What is it, by the way. I thought it was a Plymouth, but I didn't see one the same on Google Images, so must be wrong.
