Love it! That's how they should look. In their element!

That is awesome. I also love the colour, but I am biased.

Lovely looking car, of course it's just known as an MGA 1600 because when they made it they didn't there was going to be a MkII biggrin

Also I see you have what I would call the DeLux Ali' side screens with the flared lower edge. Nicer than the ones with a big rubber flap IMO.

Lovely car, is there no solution to make that plate less obtrusive?
That's the 'official' place. I've seen them centred, which does not look much better, and the Americans get away with no front plate which looks much better.

I think you could probably mount it lower and further back, almost against the black lower spoiler, I might mock something up and see if it looks better.
How come some cars are able to have tiny numberplates?

Just passed its first mot in 6 years, running a Vauxhall C20XE. She's a bit rough in places but I'd forgotten how much fun she is to drive!

Glad you approve, Some interior wood work to sort out and other cosmetic bits, pluss need to fit a vintage radio and get rid of the terrible retro plastic one, but its a lovely motor for wafting around in.

Two stunning cars above. I am a massive classic mercedes fan - it must be a real pleasure to set off behind the star on that lovely looking car.

The 635 looks great. Do you have a thread covering the restoration? I would love one of these, but a quick dabble with a E23 732 taught me that I need more mechanical expertise, garage space, and a good bodyshop contact to be able to keep BMWs from this era in good condition. I love the way they drive and look though. Congratulations!

I am very jealous indeed!

Thank you for the kind compliment .
I searched for a long , long time for a good early E24 and ended up buying this unmolested one to restore so I could get it the way I wanted .
The restoration thread is here .

I've just read that and am really impressed with your attention to detail, and fabrication and restoration skills.

Great work, lovely car.
