Certainly is - and having read your post I've decided I'm driving to work in mine tonight! Wouldn't normally do it when I'm on days as there are far too many careless eejits in our car park who think nothing of flinging their van doors wide open and bugger the consequences - usually ok on nights though, there are less of them around thankfully. Might even take 'the long way home' in the morning too - sod the expense!
JS68 - there's something about the back end of that XJ6 that making my legs go all funny down below... it is utterly sublime.
Thank you P5Nij - that's a beautiful P5b coupe you have there - always loved the interior especially the dash, very 50's Riveira speedboat...JS68 - there's something about the back end of that XJ6 that making my legs go all funny down below... it is utterly sublime.

I have posted a picture of our Noble P4 (Ferrari rep) on this thread before but I have just received this image taken by Nigel Harniman on bottom S at Shelsley Walsh for one of his tutorials. If you ever get chance to see a pro photographer at work grab it with both hands as the effort and prep involved is very impressive.

Only bugbear with the car at the moment is the fact that it's sat on the drive collecting all kinds of crap from the nearby cement works which needs constant cleaning off. Soon be sorted though as the base for my new manshed / garage / sanctuary went down this afternoon!
By the way - what's the Jag like to drive..? I've driven a mate's XJ300 a few times but never a Series 1.

And thank you squire - I'd have actually preferred one of the darker interiors like Saddletan or Mulberry but the paler Buckskin is growing on me now, the aroma when I open the door and get in is sublime! I like the Riviera speedboat reference... the wood, leather and stainless steel strips in the doors really do it for me, very simple and elegant I think. Sometimes I'll be wafting along and catch myself glancing around the cabin then think ''well blow me this is a bit of alright...!'' ;-)

I think Rover had it nailed with their interiors right up to and including the SD1 - after that I neither remember nor care! Jaguar were always a little too conservative I think - the exception being the XJS which they then subsequently bottled with the HE...Only bugbear with the car at the moment is the fact that it's sat on the drive collecting all kinds of crap from the nearby cement works which needs constant cleaning off. In answer to your question what's it like to drive, well I still remember being absolutely blown away on the maiden voyage home - I could not believe how silent it was at 80mph, and the ride was just incredible. And that was in 1997 - imagine what it must have been like in 1968..
