That A35 looks cute. Is it sensibly usable on today's roads, or uncomfortably slow?
Only mod cons so far is radial tyres and electronic ignition. I'm going to upgrade the front brakes, most likely to discs as the original drums are terrible. It'll never set the world on fire with a 998 A series and 30 odd BHP so 50mph cruising is about where its happy. Very much a short distance Sunday car.The Surveyor said:
Some last photos of this old girl before she departs for her new home on the continent. Yes, sold the Mexico and she's off to Holland on Thursday.
Bye-bye Mr Mexico.

948 A-Series I thought, 998 was a Mini engine. You can straight swap the 948 for a 1098 for a bit more power (48 bhp)Poisson96 said:

Iirc this book has a table listing all the applications of the A Series with all the potential modifications rated against them.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tuning-Engine-Definitive-...
Why doesn't PH do a Sunday Service for pre-90s cars (I say pre-90s merely as a means of trying to determine the most efficient selection cut off point)? The vast array of old cars owned by PHers are infinitely more interesting than the modern stuff which frankly you can see any Sunday morning by just doing the weekly shop.
I guess finding a nice, mellow country pub with parking for 400 would be the issue?

Not a bad idea. Themed SS's sound good. (Not saying that the open events should be knocked on the head).I guess finding a nice, mellow country pub with parking for 400 would be the issue?

Personally, if I'm going to get up early on a Sunday morning for a bacon butty then I'd do it to see an Allegro parked next to a Jag 220 and all the other lovely cars that PHers have posted in this thread. The cars are great and there are some real crackers, some properly weird stuff. Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
