What are you obsessing about today?
Discussion
There's a thread in General Gassing like this, where as you put down what you've seen and want at the moment, so though we could have a similar thread in the Classics Forum.
This caught my eye at the weekend, and I so want to own it, it hurts.

Just a shame it's so impractical, and I don't have £23k knocking about.
Like most petrolheads, my wants change constantly, but today, this is what I really want.

I'm obsessing about selling my TR6 today. Once I've made up my mind to do something I wont rest until I've done it. I've done my time on TR6s now - had a great blast down to Poole and back yesterday, time to recycle all the money and hard work into something else.
So someone is going to get a bargain.
Then I can focus on my Quattros.

Classic Cobra. No Side exhaust; no bonnet scoop; no bumpers; nor roll bars; no hood just a stonking great 427 V8!!!!!!
ETA
something like this. bonnet scoop on this one looks rather nice... would look better with no side mirrors tough... and the inside mirror would look better mounted on the dash. And as you don't need a hood, you don't need the buttons (was never a friend of those things you put above the passenger seat in case it rains. drive it only on sunny days.) And you don't need bumpers as you'd die anyhow if you crash that thing.

Just emailed about this, but unsurprisingly it had an offer for the full asking price and a deposit given, unseen.

My current obsession (for the past 4-5 years) has to be a 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie fastback, 427cui with 4 on the floor. Haven't come across one that's ticked all the boxes yet, but one day...
Firstly that Turbo 2 is amazing.

Funnily enough, as I was waiting for the link to open, I was thinking "Jensen Interceptor", although at the moment I'm also hankering after a TR3AThis caught my eye at the weekend, and I so want to own it, it hurts.

UMMMMMM let me think.....
1: A lachs silver BMW m635 csi (e24)
2: A Gilbern Invader mkIII or an Invader estate
3: A Triumph 2500 pi
4: An Escort RS2000 mk2
5: A Nissan 300zx (twin turbo)
Any Ferrari ever (even a 400), a Sunbeam Rapier, a Porsche 928, a bmw 3.0 csi, a Lancia Monte Carlo and on and on and on...

Love these at the moment - this one looks brilliant. 70's and 80s Rally cars are my focus.I've been looking at Triumph Spitfires in the classifieds for months, but I don't know whether I should take the plunge and get my hands on one. I've got the money and an empty garage but I don't know what sort of hidden costs might occur if I start seriously thinking about buying one (will I be able to get classic car insurance? Will it start falling apart? etc).
Still, they're gorgeous, and fairly cheap- I want one!

I've been told they're built like lego, so easy to work on. Just watch out for rust, main problem with classics. Classic insurance should be a doddle providing you're of a certain age. Still, they're gorgeous, and fairly cheap- I want one!
