I didn't know Ian but enjoyed his videos. He very kindly helped me out with a numpty video query as well.

My thoughts go out to his family at this dreadful time. I'm not sure that I have the words to say much more.

Oh, I can't believe this. I was so hoping that it would turn out OK.

As I said on the other thread I never met Ian but I was constantly amazed by the quality of the videos he edited together, and he seemed like a really decent chap.

This is such sad news; my heartfelt condolences to his widow and children.

Martin.

I too would like to echo this and all other remarks here. I never met but was shocked and saddened when I read the news.

Rest in peace, may we meet in another time and place.

Never met Ian, but read and followed some of his posts and can see what he contributed to PH and meant to people around him. A real shame to lose such an obviously nice bloke. Sad for all concerned. RIP.

Shit

I didn't know Ian personally, but I watched many of his brilliantly edited vidoes.

I suspected the worst, however as I went to bed last night, I found myself really hoping that I would come into PH this morning to be greeted with good news about Ian....

Before I even opened this thread, my heart just sank when I read the title of this thread

All I can do is offer my deepest condolences to Ian's family & friends at this most tragic of times - you are all in my thoughts.

It's all over now Ian, rest in peace.

I only knew Ian from PH but it's a name that I recognise as a regular, he seemed like a really decent, good all round bloke. A tragic loss to his family and to all us PH'ers.

RIP Ian

Oh so, so sad.

I've enjoyed his contribution to PH, and I've got many of his video's saved on my PC.

I never knew him personally but as with so many more, I knew him as a Pistonheader.

This really is sad.

R.I.P Ian.

Sad and confusing news. I have just checked his profile and some of his posts to see if it really was who I thought it was. Re-reading just a few of them leaves me very sad and puzzled, just normal PH posts. And now this. I dont get it, my thoughts go out to his family and freinds.

May I, too, echo my codolences to his family.
I met Ian last Summer on my first PHEA meet, and he was the first person to welcome me into the world of PH. Even though I havent known him as long as most PHer's I regard him as a very good friend. I emailed him frequently, and he was a fantastic person, which is why I said "yes" when he asked for the use of my car on the Mosler visit.
He was a friendly, and warm hearted soul, and will be sorely missed.
May you Rest In Peace dear friend

Darren
