I stumbled across the original "TVR dreaming" video of Ian's on the 'net a couple of years ago - before I got my Chim or was on PH; a great dreamy video nicely synched to 'Everything' from Thomas Crown - perfectly captured what driving a TVR is all about - had a chance to say thanks in Jan, but t'is a loss that there will be no more from this great guy. RIP.

Just read this

I am truly saddened by the news.

Like lots of people on PH I only knew of Ian through his videos.

A great loss to the world in general, and PH especially.

He will be truly missed.

I never met Ian but the number of posts here show how much he will be missed.
I would like to add my condolences to those already expressed and hope his family find peace.
What a tragic event.

Very sad news.

Ian kept encouraged me to go along to an East Anglia meet when I was having a rough time last year. He sent some very kind emails. Unfortunately I moved away and never got to meet him.

RIP Ian

The Eastern Daily Press carried a peice on Ian's suicide today no mention of Pistonheaders but it give some idea of the turmoil Ian ws facing at the time.

Such a waste of a really great guy.

Was looking over some old emails from Ian and he will be missed greatly.

Yeah, I read it too and it seems such a small thing to take the action he did

Sometimes people are just too proud/scared to ask for help. A fact I know from bitter experience.

Simpo/Ted, is there any way we can start a collection to give a little help at this most terrible time? Else if theres anything else we can do as a collective group please let us know!

I would imagine, having dealt with some debt cases, that this is only the tip of the iceberg. Mostly by the time families fall into mortgage debt all other lines of credit have been used.

It is just so desperately desperately sad that Ian felt that this was the only way out and I can't imagine what his family are going through right now.

It would be good if his Pistonheads friends could help the family in some way.
