I tried feeding a blue kite once.......

But a few weeks in a closed ward taught me that it wasn't the best idea I'd ever had.

Davi's idea about dowels and ropes sounds a good one. Not very exciting in the technology stakes though.

OK, stick a blown v8 with a pulley on the end to pull the rope at - fast food.

Just looked at RC Heli's on ebay and they start from as little as £125. I've emailed a few sellers and tried to sound as casual as possible.

Hi
I know this will sound like a strange question but do you think this Copter is capable of carrying objects such as, say, a chicken?
Many Thanks
Tom

The most likely response you'll get from that is a visit from the men in white coats.

LOL that should get some entertaining repsonses.

Joking aside, I wouldn't go buying a heli off ebay without some serious research - cheap heli's are usually crap, and the vast majority of "new" heli's at that sort of price on ebay are very crap - downright dangerous in some cases.

You'll be looking at a 60-sized nitro minimum to effectively lift a whole chicken, and that's going to cost you £1000's, or you could have one of my larger electric ones (which will lift chicken pieces) for £300, but you'll need another £200 for the transmitter and £300 for the batteries

Davi- could you PM me details of your Copter for sale please?

Ferg:
I'm overwhelmed by a)how much you have taken my plight to heart, and b) how shit-yet-hilarious your ideas are.
Frighteningly I'm actually suddenly taken by the latest terrible idea of yours

cars, definitely not, but heli's, you'd be surprised, I've had some bargains off there but you HAVE to know what you are looking for - many people think heli's will be a right laugh and if nerds can fly them how hard can it be... a couple of £300 crash bills later they realise it aint as easy as it seems and flog them on ebay, I've had one engine that I reckon could only have had 5 minutes use.

I think I may have been looking at this from the wrong angle....

How about this solution? So long as it sounds convincing I reckon it might work. I've tried to sound sort of commanding rather than begging....
